Frontier Learning Center is located at the "Crossroads" of California's Central Valley in Manteca, California.
What sets us apart from the competition? We offer one-on-one education tutoring and therapy to our learning disabled students. We have searched for cutting edge programs that address the needs of kids who struggle with learning issues. We use programs that get results consistently. At Frontier, we work with the child in a private setting where they can ask questions and make mistakes without the pain of embarrassment and failure.
Frontier offers a lab class for those students who are not successful in the regular classroom or independant study environment. Dyslexic students and
other learning disabilities clients often find it difficult to keep up with
the reading demands of school. Homeschooling would be the best option, but
the parents cannot afford to stay home. So to meet that need, Frontier
offers daily, supervised, 4 hour sessions in small group settings where we
read the lessons aloud, and practice comprehension skills as we work through
English, Math, Science and History. We serve students in the elementary
through high school grades.
Please contact our office to discuss placing your child in this program.

Programs
The Listening Program/Learning Ears: We
are providers for this exciting auditory development
program. Many of our clients have made significant
progress in receptive and expressive language
development as a result of this 20 week
program. Utilizing the powerful Listening Program in combination with phonics and oral reading practice, a student learns to hear his own voice, discriminate sounds more distinctly. As a result, comprehension skills grow in leaps and bounds.
P.A.C.E. (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement): When processing skills like working memory or logic and reasoning are weak, a child is unable to keep up with their classmates. Using a series of brain skill development exercises over the course of three months, we build up those areas of weakness and create new pathways in the brain. Average gain is 2.5 years of growth.
Barton Reading and Spelling: This is an updated version of the Orton-Gillingham method which is very successful with dyslexic students and anyone who struggles with reading or spelling.
Play Attention: Using a helmet equipped with brain sensors to monitor
staying on task, the student moves through a series of exercises that assist
ADD/ADHD clients in learning to stay focused in increasing increments.
Interactive Metronome: IM is a cutting-edge neurological assessment and
treatment tool that is used to improve cognitive, communicative, behavioral
and motor deficiencies in clients who suffer from a host of debilitating
conditions, including: Auditory and Sensory Processing Disorders, Dyslexia
and other Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention
Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome, Stroke, Traumatic Brain
Injury, and more.
